KHOMBA HOUSE
Designed by a leading young Sri Lankan architect and completed in 2009.

Khomba House was designed by a leading young Sri Lankan architect and completed in 2009.

Situated 2 hours drive North of Colombo’s airport on the West Coast, it’s the only house of it’s kind on a privately owned, pristine beach.

Developed in partnership with the local boutique hotel Alan Kuda, situated 300 metres along the beach, the villa offers the best compromise in terms of privacy and facilities.

Alan Kuda has to be one of the finest new tourism developments in Sri Lanka.  Famous for the daily spectacle of thousands of dolphins and with it’s two kilometre golden beach and crystal clear waters, it escapes the dangerous surf and currents of the resorts South of Galle.

The villa, set 150 metres back from the waters edge, is designed on an open plan basis with high ceilings, fans, polished floors and overhanging eaves in order to enjoy the cool ocean breeze while also bathing in the glorious temperate light .

Khomba comprises two separate bedrooms, with their own en-suite facilities.  Adjoining bedroom 1 is a sitting room with three further daybeds.

The main Veranda stretches the full West aspect of the buildings with views over the sea.

Every room has amazing views.  It’s possible to lie in bed and watch the local fishing craft well out to sea.
